General Adult Assessment

ADHD
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting focus, activity levels, and impulse control, impacting daily life but manageable with proper assessment and treatment.
Autism
At Porthia Clinic, our clinicians provide specialist autism assessment and support services for adults, helping you understand your unique neurological profile and develop effective strategies for daily life. We provide post-diagnostic psychological services to people with Autism in Further and Higher Education.
Fees at a glance
All our assessments are psychiatrist-led by Dr Claudia Murton, Consultant Psychiatrist. For ADHD and autism, Dr Eleanor Ley, Educational Psychologist, may carry out part of the assessment, and Dr Murton always completes the psychiatric assessment. Dr Murton leads treatment planning for ADHD. For autism, where medication is not needed, your treatment planning may be with Dr Ley.
Assessment fees include preparation time, the assessment itself, one treatment planning session and your written treatment plan on our secure patient portal.

Follow-up appointments and prescriptions
| Follow-up with Dr Murton (for example, medication reviews), up to 35 minutes | £220 |
| ADHD medication titration review with Dr Murton, 25 minutes (includes your prescription during titration, with no postage) | £180 |
| Post-diagnostic support with Dr Eleanor Ley, Educational Psychologist, 50 minutes | £150 |
| ADHD medication prescription after titration (1-month supply), sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Postage may change in line with Royal Mail prices. | £80 + £10 postage |
Good to know
- Payment is taken securely when you book online.
- Please give at least 7 days’ notice to cancel or rearrange without a fee. Cancellations within 2 working days are not refunded. See our Terms and Conditions.
- We’re an assessment-focused clinic and don’t provide ongoing care between appointments. Clinical questions often can’t be answered safely by email, so where needed we’ll arrange a follow-up appointment. Clinical time is chargeable. Questions about bookings or admin are free of charge.
- We are not currently affiliated with health insurers.
